Lecvir is a spray-applied mixture that can be applied to the outer surface of any textile mask, specifically holding and blocking mannose-containing enveloped pathogenic viruses.

What is Lecvir, and what is it used for?

Lecvir is an aromatic, clear, and colorless solution in a 20 ml glass bottle with a plastic spray applicator. It contains a proprietary lectin protein as a virus-blocking agent. The recombinantly produced lectin protein was isolated and included in the formulation after all impurities were removed. It is used as a protective spray against mannose-containing enveloped pathogenic viruses such as SARS-CoV-2, Influenza A/B, RSV, SARS-CoV, and MERS-CoV in surgical masks.

What is the mechanism of action of Lecvir?

Lecvir’s virus-blocking agent binds to mannose sequences found in many pathogenic enveloped viruses with high affinity, preventing the virus from entering the cell. The agent has been experimentally shown to be effective against all coronaviruses (including the SARS-CoV-2 virus and its sub-variants), influenza A/B, RSV, Adenovirus, and Herpes viruses. In addition, it is theoretically possible that it effectively blocks all virus particles containing mannose sugar.

How to use Lecvir?

It is used by spraying on the outer surface of the masks. Place your mask on a clean surface with the outside facing you. Cover the entire surface of your mask with the solution with a total of 4 sprays from a distance of 30 cm. Let it dry for 3 minutes. You can use your mask usually after it dries. It is recommended that the prepared mask be used for a maximum of 2 hours.

Shake before use.
